Does F# have a future?

I really hope that F# has a future, as I recently started to play with it and I definitely like it.

The sad reality is that none of the mainstream FP languages (Haskell, Clojure, Elixir, Scala, OCaml) is particularly popular, so I guess F# is all popular as can be expected. I’ve read somewhere that Microsoft expanded the development team a while ago and I hope that’s still true. F# 8 and 9 seem like pretty good releases to me, so obviously some progress is happening.

I’m not using F# because it is popular. It is helping me solve problems. If I was employed I might have tried to make a case for F# in more scenarios. There are ways to introduce it in non critical ways. I’m sure you can think of some and start using it right away
