# zzarchive-Cricket, abandoned, alternative?

I am looking for a simple lightweight F# based actor library. Cricket seemed a good fit. However, it has been renamed to zzarchive, suggesting it has been abandoned. Is there an alternative? And if not, why has it been abandoned?

I think that most people who do actor frameworks on .Net use [Akka.Net](https://getakka.net/) with one of the F# libraries on top of it, either [Akka.FSharp](https://github.com/akkadotnet/akka.net/tree/dev/src/core/Akka.FSharp) or [Akkling](https://github.com/Horusiath/Akkling). Cricket was archived because there had been zero activity on the repo for more than a year and a half at the time of archival.
