VIsual Studio or VSCode

Hello, I started a Udemy course, and they are having us use VSCode. I wonder if this is just so it is all the same for other OSs. Or is VSCode preferred over Visual Studio if you’re on Windows? I just want to use the better tool. I have never used Visual Studio, but opened the little starter project in the course and it doesn’t seem overly complicated.

Opinions on this please. Thanks.

They are both good. I’d suggest to stick with what the course is using. Vs code is probably better for learning in my opinion, since it sort of encourages you to learn about how .proj files work.
